Memories To Treasure

Last weekend we made a whirlwind trip to Fort Collins to visit our niece and nephew.  And our brother and sis-in-love.  But, seriously, we all know it was for the kids.

And, although I would rather not remember some of the moments from our trip, we had a lot of sweet memories I don't want to forget.

Memories like...

impromptu pajama party rock concerts

this tiny sweet face

taking every opportunity to earn the the nickname "Wild Minions"

sweet snuggles with Uncle Ya-Ya

and cousin Madi

and cousin Nina

Little Sugar B put up with a lot of lovin in a short time.

I don't want to forget

our four-in-one birthday party

taking all the kids to the best stadium on Earth.  Sorry Julie and Rachel, it isn't either one of your teams.

watching Sugar B soak in her first Rockies experience (doesn't she look fabulous?)

sharing a CO sunset with 40,000 of my closest friends (more people than our entire county)

being surprised by our good buddies from Durango, who just happened to be in town and just happened to get tickets.  Kat & H are fabulous buddies.

It made for sweet memories, watching these two brothers pick up where they left off, even if they were wrangling monkeys.

Although Violet was more interested in the food than the game.

We also got to stop in and see some sweet friends who moved to Denver a while ago.  They have fabulous dress up clothes.

Really fabulous dress up clothes.

Something for everyone!

And a princess who turned 11 on Sunday!

We were away from home for 61 hours (18 of which were spent in car).  And it was worth every minute for the memories!

GAH! I am so jealous! Someone got to spend all that time with you and your fun minions? :)

Well, it looks like you didn't have any more (ahem) SAINT POOPICUS moments, so I'm guessing it was all good after that.

Cuz we wouldn't want to have to keep calling you SAINT POOPICUS or anything...

Cuz SAINT POOPICUS is a funny nickname that you sure don't want all your friends and family to know about right?

So, we'll keep that SAINT POOPICUS between us? :)

In all seriousness (that happens occasionally with me), you guys looked like you had a fabulous time. Oh wait. You weren't there. I mean, cuz otherwise there would have been a picture of SAINT POOPICUS, right? (oopsie)!

Love you guys - hope to hug your neck in person someday!

It sure sounds like, and looks like EVERYONE had a great time! That little baby face it precious! Violet is my kinda girl... baseball is great... food is sooooo much better!

I love shared birthday parties! They are so much fun! We have a family buddy system around here. Everyone has one (or more!) birthday buddies. That is how we handle parties! It works so well!

You guys are some brave folks! That much time in the car is dangerous for your sanity!

Funny you escaped every picture.... I'm sure it was totally by mistake...

Wow! How did you keep all the girls entertained for ALL that driving? My hubby and I lived in Cheyenne once and we had to escape to Fort Collins as much as possible! We loved it there!

That does look like a great time. Love the 4 in one birthday. I could barely do one lol. I also love Fort Collins. When we lived in Laramie, Wy I would drive down sometimes on days I had off and Chris was at work. I love it out there.

Looks like a great time. Looking at the pictures, it's obvious the kids had a blast!!

Love your new blog look. You've probably had it for awhile and I'm just now making it over to check it out. Sorry!

I think those quick get-a-ways are the most fun! Hmmm... I noticed you skipped out on all the pics too. ;)
